ANIMAL WELFARE GRANTS
Animal Welfare Grants support organizations serving animals in Forsyth County.
- Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation – $20,000 to support a marketing intern and improve the organization’s visibility in the community
- Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary – $25,000 to support humane education and outreach programs in Forsyth County
- Forsyth Humane Society – $5,355 to seed the launch of spay/neuter vouchers for low-income pet owners in Forsyth County
- Fur Ever Friends of NC – $25,000 to support financial assistance to eligible pet owners through the Rico Medical Fund
- Humane Solution Spay-Neuter Program (SpayKind) – $25,000 to support an inaugural Executive Director
- Piedmont Animal Welfare Alliance – $20,000 to support organization expansion
- Red Feather Farm – $20,200 for technology, programs, and support to boost fundraising efforts and organization stability
- Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center – $10,000 for horse care and staff support to sustain equine-assisted services
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT GRANTS
Capital Improvement Grants support Forsyth County nonprofits for time-limited projects to acquire, upgrade, and maintain physical assets such as property, buildings, technology, or equipment.
- Arts for Life – $7,000 for technology needs
- Cancer Services –$25,000 for wellness room furniture, kitchen upgrades, and new lighting
- Carter G. Woodson School – $25,000 to purchase a pavilion and a generator for the farm
- Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership – $7,500 to support the Liberty Street Corridor Landscaping Beautification Project
- Epitome Marching Band – $15,000 for capital investment in instruments and equipment to expand its community arts programming
- Family Services – $25,000 for trauma-informed design and technology upgrades
- Financial Pathways of the Piedmont – $23,000 to purchase and install a new server
- Foot bridge Inc –$10,000 to purchase a mobile dental exam trailer
- Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries –$25,000 for beautification efforts at the reentry center
- GG's Wellness Centers – $25,000 for beautification and an environmental healing garden
- Hope To Thrive – $25,000 for beautification and accessibility improvements
- Horizons Residential Care Center – $25,000 to construct new homes for residents with disabilities
- Little Theatre of Winston-Salem –$25,000 to purchase and upfit a new building for rehearsals, administration, and education
- Maple Springs United Methodist Church – $25,000 to upfit bathrooms and plumbing for the Grace Space
- Mobile Peer Unit –$25,000 for Driving Change, a mobile peer support RV for community outreach in Winston Salem
- North Carolina Rush Triad Soccer – $19,320 to landscape an outdoor recreation area
- Piedmont Wind Symphony – $22,000 for percussion equipment
- Sawtooth School for Visual Art – $24,000 for interior upgrades
- Senior Services – $25,000 for campus beautification and interior upgrades
- Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston-Salem – $25,000 to repair and upgrade facilities
- The Dwelling – $25,000 for kitchen upgrades
- Trellis Supportive Care Foundation – $18,000 to upgrade wireless network equipment
- Whole Man Ministries of NC –$11,000 for handicapped parking upgrades and landscape beautification
- Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance – $25,000 for public mural art and parking lot enhancements
- YMCA of Northwest North Carolina – $25,000 for Airnasium for the Let’s Get Fit inclusive fitness program

- Asset Building Coalition of Forsyth County – $75,000 for operational support
- ChoicePoints Learning – $70,000 for learning and engagement support at the Career Center
- City with Dwellings: A Community First Initiative –$40,000 for the Community Prevention and Housing Stability Fund
- Crossnore Communities for Children –$16,000 to support the Adventure Based Counseling program at Main Street Academy
- Crystal R Currie – $15,000 to provide trauma-informed professional development for staff at Main Street Academy
- Forsyth Futures – $7,500 for a school needs survey
- Goler Community Development Corporation –$51,500 to support the TechCareers program
- Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC –$50,000 for childcare stipends to support individuals entering the workforce
- LEAD Girls of NC – $11,000 to support the LEAD Girls program at Main Street Academy and $30,000 for the program at Paisley IB Magnet School
- National Institute of Minority Economic Development – $25,000 for the Emerging Developer Capacity Building Program

- School Justice Partnership – $50,000 for facilitation of the Schools Justice Partnership program and $10,000to research and document the network of partners supporting Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools
- Smart Start of Forsyth County – $10,000 to support collaborative Alliance for Responsive Early Education
- The Do School – $30,000 for student stipends and $55,000 for a site supervisor
- Triad Cultural Arts – $10,000 for the expansion of Rooted in Race exhibit and $10,000 for a history curriculum pilot
- Wheels4Hope – $24,000 to address transportation barriers to employment in Forsyth County
- WinstonNet – $70,000 to support Digital Bridges Forsyth
- Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools –$20,000 to support the Varsity Tutoring program at Career Center High School, $10,000 to support the Teacher Residency Educator Preparation Program (EPP), $50,000 to support the healing work at Main Street Academy (MSA), $5,000 for a healing work coordinator at MSA, $5,000 to support the merger of MSA and Kingswood Schools, and $5,000 to support staff team-building activities at MSA
- Winston-Salem State University Foundation –$50,000 to support Winston-Salem TEACH
- Youth Collaborative – $40,000 to support Project X, a program that supports youth at risk for gang involvement
- Young Entrepreneurs Program – $50,000 to provide entrepreneurship training and resources to Winston-Salem Forsyth County students over two years

Small grants are available to organizations and groups with annual incomes of $150,000 or less.

- Celeste Burgess One Foundation –$1,000 to support youth financial literacy programs and community outreach
- Culturally Innovative Minds –$1,420 to support the next phase of the community garden project and programming
- Divine Drops – $1,000 to support dignity kits for youth girls
- God's Mt. Calvary Powerhouse of Deliverance Church – $1,500 to address food insecurity in the Rolling Hills neighborhood
- Helping Inspire Youth Invention & Entrepreneurial Leadership Development Program – $1,925 to support a Youth Inventors Community Scavenger Hunt Workshop Program
- Joyful Soul Treasures – $2,000 to provide health education for youth
- Mobile Peer Unit – $2,000 to provide peer support and outreach services
- Northwood Estates Neighborhood Association – $2,000 to build social capital between seniors and youth through local cultural experiences
- Nueva Vida - New Life –$2,000 to support 'NO MAS', a Latino Mothers Alliance and Coalition formed to address youth violence
- Peacework Medical – $2,000 to support a trans-centered health coaching program
- Restoring Consultant Services Inc – $1,700 to support youth entrepreneurial programming
- SwimTASA – $500 to purchase pool space and provide supplies for swim lessons
- The Piedmont Youth Football and Cheer League of North Carolina INC – $500 to support youth sports inclusion through postseason scholarship
