To create meaningful change, we must join organized efforts that build collective purpose and power in ways that individuals can’t alone. That's why The Women's Fund of Winston-Salem launched its Ideas to Action event series: to lift up ways to follow directly-impacted leaders, add power and influence to local movements driving change, and help move forward community-led solutions.
This is the second event of the four part series, hosted in partnership with the Black Philanthropy Initiative and Youth Grantmakers in Action.
Together in a virtual environment, we will:
- Experience a new and innovative online exhibit detailing the history of integrating local schools
- Learn from Bridges Collaborative and WS/FCS about strategies and efforts to overcome challenges, break down barriers, and ensure every child receives a high-quality education
- Hear from local students about their experiences and what they need to learn, be themselves, and pursue their dreams
- Outline our individual plans for how we can create a better future for our students and future generation.
We hope you can join us!
