Ideas to Action Series: Equity in Education

To create meaningful change, we must join organized efforts that build collective purpose and power in ways that individuals can’t alone. That's why The Women's Fund of Winston-Salem launched its Ideas to Action event series: to lift up ways to follow directly-impacted leaders, add power and influence to local movements driving change, and help move forward community-led solutions.

This is the second event of the four part series, hosted in partnership with the Black Philanthropy Initiative and Youth Grantmakers in Action.

Together in a virtual environment, we will:

  • Experience a new and innovative online exhibit detailing the history of integrating local schools
  • Learn from Bridges Collaborative and WS/FCS about strategies and efforts to overcome challenges, break down barriers, and ensure every child receives a high-quality education
  • Hear from local students about their experiences and what they need to learn, be themselves, and pursue their dreams
  • Outline our individual plans for how we can create a better future for our students and future generation.

We hope you can join us!
