2014 Community Luncheon Highlights




A great crowd of 1,030 community members gathered at the Benton Convention Center on May 7 for the 2014 Community Luncheon.  After Foundation highlights were delivered, the 2014 Winston-Salem Foundation Award and 2014 ECHO Awards were presented to an exemplary group of community builders.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: DR. JIM JOHNSON

Keynote speaker Dr. Jim Johnson, director of the Urban Investment Strategies Center and the William R. Kenan, Jr., Distinguished Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School served as the luncheon's  keynote speaker.   Dr. Johnson co-authored the 2011 report, "Six Disruptive Demographic Trends: What Census 2010 Will Reveal?", which identified major shifts in our demographics and their far-reaching implications.
