Field of Interest Funds

Field of interest endowment funds support organizations or programs addressing specific issues.  Donors decide which area(s) to support such as animal welfare, arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment, health, human services, and recreation. The Foundation Committee then awards Community Grants to nonprofit organizations and programs that are making a difference in the area selected. The gift stays flexible enough to meet community needs in the donor's interest areas - even as they change over time.

  • A field of interest fund enables the Foundation to strategically address the changing community needs in the areas which the donor designates.
  • Donors choose the field of interest that they wish to support, and the Foundation handles the rest.
  • There is no fee to establish a field of interest fund.
  • A $25,000 minimum opening gift is required.
