The Campaign Coordinating Committee was established to serve the community by scheduling major fundraising campaigns for the benefit of Forsyth County nonprofits. The Committee is comprised of 12 members appointed by various community organizations, with The Winston-Salem Foundation serving as Secretary for the group.
Nonprofits that are interested in conducting public fundraising campaigns in excess of $500,000 are first asked to complete a standard application, followed by a presentation to the Committee. The Committee issues an updated Campaign Calendar on a regular basis throughout the year. Faith communities (churches, mosques, synagogues, etc.) and retirement communities are exempt from the calendar as it is unlikely that these types of organizations would receive corporate or foundation support.
