Grantmaking Partners

Today many donors are eager to experience philanthropy actively in a way that is both responsive to the changing needs of our community and reflective of their personal interests.  By participating in Grantmaking Partners, donor advisors are able to participate in the Foundation’s community grantmaking process by helping to support grant proposals from local organizations through their advised funds.

Throughout the year we offer donors the opportunity to partner with the Foundation in funding specific grant requests (in a variety of interest areas) from eligible nonprofit organizations.  Our staff is in the field every day working with local organizations to build capacity, convene partners, and meet specific community needs, and the Grantmaking Partners program gives donors a chance to capitalize on this experience, knowledge and expertise.

Grantmaking Partners benefits include:

  • Donors leverage more charitable dollars in the community to meet more needs.
  • Donors are made aware of timely funding opportunities in the community.
  • Donors make the choice to match their interests with community nonprofits in order to make effective grants.
  • Donors learn about new organizations that are addressing issues that matter to them.

Would you like to join us as a Grantmaking Partner?  The first step is to establish a donor-advised fund by contacting the Philanthropic Services staff.
