Membership

All women and girls who wish to further the mission and vision of The Women's Fund of Winston-Salem are invited to become members of The Fund.

BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION
  • As an individual member or as part of a group membership, you have the opportunity to:
  • participate in an organization of women empowering other women
  • offer advice, suggestions and direction to The Women's Fund
  • help women and girls make strategic and informed decisions about their philanthropy
  • attend The Women's Fund Annual Meeting and other special programs
  • annually exercise your individual or group voting privilege for organizations/programs to receive funding
  • network with women who share similar values
  • increase your involvement through eligibility for membership on the Board of Directors and subcommittees of The Women's Fund
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

Women may become individual members for $1,200 per year.  All individual members receive one vote annually in determining the organizations/programs to receive funding.

GROUP MEMBERSHIP

A group membership is composed of up to twelve women/girls who collectively contribute a total of $1,200 per year.   Each group will receive one vote annually in determining the organizations/programs to receive funding.  Groups must designate a leader who will be responsible for submitting member contributions and the group's annual vote on grants.  All women and girls in the group are considered members of The Women's Fund.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Women's Fund offers scholarships for participation to women and girls in our community, prioritizing applicants who have limited access to financial resources and whose civic, community or cultural work shows a commitment to issues greatly impacting women and girls. Scholarship recipients will be part of a group membership and will receive all the benefits of membership.
