Donor advisors may submit grant recommendations three ways (please submit each recommendation only once):

- Mail your recommendation form to the Foundation
- Log-on and make your recommendation online

Donor advisors may submit recommendations online. For your protection, registration is required. To register online, just click on the link below and follow instructions. Alternatively, you may contact Philanthropic Services at the Foundation to secure your registration and receive instruction. If you register online, please allow as many as three business days for us to verify your account and set it up for donor advisor access.
Please be aware that due to the recent Pension Protect Act (HR4), the Foundation may not process donor-advised grants that give the donor advisor benefits in any form.
This includes and is not limited to:
- Athletic booster clubs when a gift entitles the donor to purchase tickets at a special rate, time, or location
- Alumni Associations when donors are entitled to sporting events, performances, parking, etc.
- Special events when a gift entitles the donor or their guests to attend the event or receive any personal benefit
- Pledges to fulfill personal commitments
Previously donors have been allowed to cover the direct benefit of the gifts such as those listed above with a personal check. However, this is no longer allowed.
Grants may still be recommended to these types of organizations, but all associated benefits must be declined. Failure to do so may result in penalties to the donor and to the Foundation and places the Foundation at risk of losing its charitable status.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have further questions regarding this legislation and its effect on donor-advised funds, please contact a member of Philanthropic Services at 725-2382.
