THE LEGACY SOCIETY
The Legacy Society was created by The Winston-Salem Foundation as a way for recognizing and expressing appreciation to donors who have created permanent legacies at the Foundation. The work of the Foundation is possible only through the generous contributions of individuals and families who want to ensure the quality of life in their community both now and in the future.
WHO IS IT FOR? THE LEGACY SOCIETY IS FOR PEOPLE WHO:
- Have established permanent endowments with a market value of $10,000 or more through the Foundation.
- Have made provisions for the Foundation of $10,000 or more through deferred gifts, such as charitable bequests, charitable remainder trusts, qualified retirement plans, life insurance, real estate, or other assets.
MEMBERSHIP FACTS:
- Members are recognized each year in the Foundation's report to the community.
- If you choose, you may retain your anonymity as a member of The Legacy Society.
- You have full access to all donor services offered by the Foundation.
- You are included in events exclusively for Legacy Society members.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER:
- Establish an endowed fund valued at $10,000 at the Foundation or include The Winston-Salem Foundation in your will or estate plan.
- Contact a member of Philanthropic Services at the Foundation.
